ISKANDAR PUTERI: Political parties contesting in the state election should be respectful of one another as they have the same chances of reaching out to the people, says Khairy Jamaluddin.
The Rembau MP said that each party has their own idealism and vision and that they are all trying their best to woo voters.
“We should not look down on other parties, be it Malaysian United Democratic Alliance (Muda), Parti Pejuang Tanah Air (Pejuang), and Parti Warisan Sabah (Warisan).
“This also includes our traditional political rivals from Perikatan Nasional and Pakatan Harapan,” he said during a press conference after visiting the Skudai and Kota Iskandar Election Machinery offices here on Saturday (March 5).
Khairy, who is also Health Minister, also added that it is better for each party to have healthy competition rather than mock one another.
“Good luck to everyone. The Health Ministry has also introduced an SOP that still allows everyone to have ceramah, even though with a limited number of participants as we are still in a pandemic.
“So, give each other a chance to try and win the people, but make sure when it comes to vote, vote for Barisan,” he said.
