Regina man facing robbery, other charges

A 22-year-old Regina man is facing a number of charges after an incident in the city on Friday.

Regina Police Service said in a news release that officers were called to a business in the 1800 block of Scarth St. after a robbery was reported around 4 p.m.

Police said a man demanded money from a staff member of the business and left when he did not get any. A man matching a description of the suspect was taken into custody nearby.

The man is facing charges of robbery, uttering threats, obstruction, and possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order, as well as failure to comply with a condition of a release order and breach of probation.

He is scheduled to appear in provincial court on Monday.
