This past week in New York City, Selena Gomez stopped by the set of Jimmy Fallon’s Tonight Show, where she looked absolutely stunning in a classic and elegant little black dress. During her presentation, the star of Only Murders in the Building, who is 30 years old, talked her recently published documentary, My Mind & Me, and hinted at new music. She did all of this while showing off her chiseled form in the plunging midi item.
On last night’s episode of The Tonight Show, Selena Gomez appeared in a low-cut, sultry little black dress.
The singer of “Lose You to Love Me” wore a dress that had an asymmetrical line running through it, a low neckline with a knotted bow, subtle stripe embellishments, a glossy fuzzy texture, and an overall skintight, curve-hugging fit. Gomez rounded out her all-black ensemble with a pair of elegant shoes with a pointed toe and a pointed heel in black, and she added silver hoop earrings to her monochrome ensemble.
The founder of Rare Beauty went for a smokey eye with silvery eyeshadow, added a touch of rosy blush to her cheekbones, and finished off her look with a neutral, matte lip. In terms of her makeup, she went for a style that was reminiscent of the 1990s. The singer known for her single “People You Know” sported her long, dark hair down, styled in layers that framed her face and parted down the middle. In addition to that, she had her signature wispy fringe hanging down and grazing her eyes.
During her conversation with Fallon, Gomez was questioned by the host if the recent release of her documentary’s titular musical track, “My Mind & Me,” indicated that she would be releasing new music in the near future. She smiled as she responded to the audience’s applause with “That’s accurate,” and then she added, “finally!” Gomez claimed that she is “ready to have some fun” and noted that she is “so used” to creating “sad girl songs” because she is “excellent at it.” Given that she stated that she is “ready to have some fun,” it is safe to assume that she will soon release more upbeat songs in the near future.
The documentary, which had its world premiere on Apple TV+ on November 4, focuses on Gomez’s struggle with mental illness, particularly her diagnosis of bipolar disorder, which she disclosed to the public in 2020 during an Instagram Live chat with Miley Cyrus, according to a report from Vogue at the time.
In reference to Gomez’s experiences in the documentary, Fallon said to her that “it’s harsh.”
